In the last weeks, Blizzard spread several news about the upcoming closed beta of Overwatch 2. The release is getting closer and closer and, as we have already seen, the title will have PC requirements that seem really within everyone’s reach. In the event that the optimization confirms the performance, this would allow you to play even with machines that are not necessarily performing. All this goes in favor of players who would have difficulty updating the hardware of their own PC due to recent inventory shortages globally.
In a recent live stream from the developers, Blizzard Entertainment confirmed that the closed beta of Overwatch 2 for PvP it will start in late April. Registrations are currently available here – PC gamers can choose to participate in the next round of tests. A closed alpha is currently underway, limited to employees only Blizzard and professional players. The beta, as mentioned, will only include the mode PvP in 5vs5 battles, while the mode PvE it will be added later.
In addition to improved graphics and sound effects, in the closed beta, players can experience the new hero Sojourn, armed with a lethal rail gun. The modality Push it will also be available with two dedicated maps: New Queen Street And Colosseum. Escort And Hybrid will also get some new maps like Circuit Royal And Midtown. It is also possible that Overwatch 2 re-propose some of the maps of the first chapter. However, it is still unclear whether Blizzard will show all the maps or only a selected list.
In addition to all this, Overwatch 2 adopts the new system Ping and rework for heroes like Sombra, Bastion, Orisa And Doomfist. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks. The new title of Blizzard Entertainment is in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC And Nintendo Switch. However, this first beta will be available exclusively for gamers PC from April 26.
