WhatsApp: how to activate the left-handed mode in the Android system

When manufacturing and configuring a smartphone with a system Android, the predominant profile is for right-handed people. This is not a minor detail, since there are smartphone users who are skillful with their left hands, who find it difficult to use shortcuts and functions in various applications, such as, WhatsApp.

Although it is something very obvious, sometimes we forget that small detail, but Google developers have taken this situation into account and allow the user’s profile to be modified.

The process is very simple and has been disclosed thanks to a review of the newspaper The nationwhich was published on his website.

TUTORIAL TO ACTIVATE LEFT-HANDED MODE ON AN ANDROID DEVICE

  • Enter device settings
  • For the next step it is necessary to have the developer functions active. If you don’t know how to do it, follow these instructions
  • With the options already active, look for Force RTL layout direction and that’s it

Now the configuration of the equipment will change automatically, thus facilitating the use of the device by left-handed people.

Remember that this process is reversible.

  • Go to the Settings of your smartphone
  • Find Device Information
  • Swipe to see Build Number
  • Tap this option seven times in a row
  • Enter the Security Pin, pattern or place your fingerprint

Remember that each manufacturer changes the name of the options. You should be careful, because you can find “Version number” instead of build.

If you have followed all the steps correctly, you will see the Developer Options section by entering the System section

What are the developer options for?

All application developers use these functions to perform tests on the software that they will make available in the Play Store, the idea is that they can verify if their program adapts to Android requirements and does not cause errors.

Thanks to these functions you can speed up the animations or do without them, you can also know the frequency at which the screen is working, among others.
