OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G have been launched

As expected, OnePlus has introduced two new smartphones today. The new contender for the OnePlus 10 series comes in the form of OnePlus 10R. Apart from this device, the company also introduced the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G which is another affordable option to enter the Nord 2 series. The OnePlus 10R, on the other hand, is the global version of the OnePlus Ace, which was recently launched in China. Also, this device is basically a rebranded Realme GT Neo 3. It comes in two variants with different charging and battery capacities as the GT Neo 3. Without further ado, let’s take a look at what these smartphones have in store.

OnePlus 10R

The OnePlus 10R comes with the same dimensions of 8100 found in the Realme GT Neo 3. The device comes with identical battery charging in both its variants. There is a variant with the mouthful 150 W Superwook Endurance Edition charging. It brings a 4,500mAh battery with the aforementioned 150W USB Type-C charger. The OnePlus 10R also brings it from 1 percent to 30 percent in three minutes and from 1 percent to 100 percent in just 17 minutes.

The OnePlus 10R in its regular variant brings a 5,000 mAh battery along with 80W SuperVOOC charging. It also fast charges from flat to 100 percent in just 32 minutes. Both the variants come with a customized smart charging chip that keeps charging secure. OnePlus comes with a smart battery health algorithm and healing technology that offers 150 W SuperVOOC Endurance Edition. It will retain 80 percent of its capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, double the industry standard of 800 cycles.

OnePlus 10R comes with MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX. This is a modified version of the chip that clocks up to 2.85 GHz, while the vanilla has a regular 2.75 GHz clock speed. The phone comes with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. The phone has 3D passive cooling system. The panel comes with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, and is an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 2,412 x 1,080 pixels. Tactile response is about 730 Hz.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G brings Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G so it is a basic 5G smartphone. The phone has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate. It also brings a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64MP main camera and two 2MP auxiliary ones at the back. For selfies and video calls, the base model brings a 16MP selfie camera. The phone draws its power from a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Pricing and Availability

OnePlus 10R will hit the market on May 4 at noon via the OnePlus website, Amazon, Reliance Stores, Chroma stores and select partner stores. The standard version will cost Rs 38,999 ($509) for the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The price of the variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is Rs 42,999 ($561). There is a 150W option with INR 43,999 ($574) price tag and Sierra Black colorway. It only comes in 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option.

The sale of OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will start from April 30 through the same stores. The device comes in 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and 8GB RAM variants with the same storage amount. These will cost INR 19,999 ($260) and INR 21,999 ($287).

For now, it is not clear whether this variant will hit the global markets or will be limited to India. The OnePlus 9R and 9RT were exclusive to India and China, so its future is hard to determine right now. It is worth noting that the Realme GT Neo 3 will also knock in India tomorrow. However, its sale will be till 4 May only.
