As the expected August launch window draws closer, we’re starting to hear more about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 – and according to the latest rumour, it could bring with it a minor battery capacity upgrade.
Information obtained by GalaxyClub (via GSMArena) suggests that the upcoming foldable flip phone may come with a pair of batteries with rated capacity of 2,400mAh and 903mAh respectively.
Do the math and that total is 3,303mAh. As Samsung and other phone makers advertise what is known as typical rather than rated battery capacity, the phone will be marketed as having a 3,400mAh capacity – up from 3,300mAh on the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
battery life

Improvements in processor technology usually mean that newer CPUs draw less power than older ones, but screens and software are also considered when it comes to working out how long a phone is going to last between charges. .
We’ll have to reserve judgment until we can actually test the phone, but if this leak turns out to be accurate, we expect Samsung’s next foldable Flip handset to at least match the battery life it deserves. Analysis: What we know so far
Year after year, Samsung has been steadily improving its foldable smartphone technology, and that means the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 are both expected to arrive. If Samsung sticks, both phones should appear around August. for your normal schedule.
There was a lot about the Galaxy Z Flip 3 that impressed, and so Samsung can’t try to change too much this time around. We hear that the screen size will remain the same, for example: 6.7 inches for the main display and 1.9 inches for the cover display.
Another leak has pointed to an upgraded rear camera on the back of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, as well as an improvement in battery capacity (something that is supported by the rumor mentioned above). There’s also been talk of a rotating camera, but we guess that might have to wait until the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Everything will be revealed in a few months, and as usual pricing will be significant: the Galaxy Z Flip 3 starts at $999 / £949 / AU$1,499, so we hope Samsung can beat it in 2022. It certainly looks like Samsung is hoping to move a lot of units.
