Apple TV + stays with the sci-fi romantic drama "fingernails"

‘Fingernails’ is the first English-language film from director Christos Nikou, starring Jessie Buckley and Riz Ahmed.

Apple has taken it upon itself to feed its TV platform with high profile and critically acclaimed movies. CODA’s recent Oscar success it is only the beginning of the quality plan that the company haswhich will currently add another large-scale project.

The company has chosen one of the winning films at the Cannes Film Festival to make it his next exclusive premiere on the platform. This film is called ‘Fingernails’, and it is a science fiction romantic drama that promises an exciting story from beginning to end.

Apple Acquires Rights to ‘Fingernails’

Deadline has reported on the acquisition of the rights to ‘Fingernails’ by Apple Original Films. This is the English-language debut of director Christos Nikou and stars Jessie Buckley (The Lost Daughter) and Riz Ahmed (The Sound of Metal).

Fingernails will be the next big movie to premiere on Apple TV+

In this sci-fi love story, a test has been discovered that measures whether married couples are truly in love, and institutes have been opened to help couples succeed. Anna (Buckley) is skeptical about the positive outcome she has had with her lifelong partner, so she starts working at a love institute as an assistant to Trevor (Ahmed), a mysterious instructor. and dedicated.

The figure for which Apple has acquired this license has not been mentioned, nor has the estimated release date for the film. What is a fact is that users will be able to watch it through Apple TV + exclusively and for everyone.

‘Fingernails’ joins the Apple TV project for the next few years, focused on bringing quality cinema to subscribers. The success of CODA has already been seen in the awards season and Cha Cha Real Smooth will be released on June 171st, with excellent preliminary reviews.
