Xiaomi has renewed the design of both the headphones and the charging case of the Redmi Buds 4 and Redmi Buds 4 Pro with an aesthetic that reminds us of the Apple Airpods Pro. Thus, each earphone has a rounded body with a silicone pad and a rod where its microphones and the touch sensor are housed to control music playback with a simple touch. For its part, the charging case abandons the rectangular design of the Redmi Buds 3 Pro and bets on a more rounded aesthetickeeping, yes, the LED that indicates the charging status of the case in the center of it.
Both headphone models feature active noise cancellation, staying the Redmi Buds 4 at 35 dB with which the Redmi Buds 3 Pro already had and increasing in the Redmi Buds 4 Pro up to 43 dB. In addition, Xiaomi’s new wireless headphones also feature a 3000 Hz wideband noise reduction and intelligent wind noise reduction systemtwo features that we usually find in high-end TWS headphones.
As for the rest of the features of the new cheap wireless headphones from Redmi, we must highlight that the Pro model is equipped with a 10-millimeter driver and a 6-millimeter tweeter that provide us with great sound quality and has a low latency mode of only 59 ms and with Bluetooth 5.3 to connect to our smartphone or tablet. In addition, both models have the certification IP54 splash resistance.
At the level of autonomy, the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 4 promise a battery life of 6 hours without noise cancellation activateda figure that increases up to 30 hours using its charging casewhile the Redmi Buds Pro offer us up to 9 hours of battery without ANC activated and up to 36 hours using its charging case.
