With flaps, the size of a door, folding in 40 parts… What will the mobile of the future be like? Nobody knows and surely not even the manufacturers themselves. That is why we have pulled artificial intelligence to glimpse what the future of mobile telephony will be like. And, being as fashionable as it is, turning to the DALL-E Mini was our worst-best option.
And we say this “worse-better” because you only have to see the crazy results that this software shows, very different from the realistic style of the full version of DALL-E. Nevertheless, the results are funny to say the least. Although in the end if there is a word that defines them well it is “bizarre”. However, judge for yourself.
The smartphone of 2050 looks older than those of 2017
Determined to find out what the mobile of the future will look like, we accessed DALL-E mini and made the request for “the smartphone of the future”. The results, exposed here below, allow us to glimpse a bleak future. Good thing it’s just artificial intelligence and not access to the manufacturers’ secret roadmap.
“The smartphones of the future”
Perhaps we have been vague, so we decided to ask DALL-E Mini to show us what smartphones will look like in 2050. The results, once again, show us some mobiles more typical of 2017 than 2050. And if not, see for yourself in this image below.
“Smartphones in 2050”
Exalted with a very futuristic background, the designs of smartphones as such remind us of the aesthetics that mobiles began to break from 2017-2018, since until then they were mobiles with sharp edges and with presence of physical buttons on the front, something that only Apple and its iPhone SE seem to continue to maintain these days.
Stopping the time machine in the much nearer future, we have also consulted what will be the best mobile of 2023. To the surprise of t̵o̵d̵o̵s̵ no one, the result has returned to be null. We can see figures very similar to phones already presented by Apple, Samsung or Xiaomi (or so it seems), but without anything defining and with a style more typical of a Dalí painting. At least it is clear to us that, if it were for this AI, the color blue will dominate next year.
“Best smartphone of 2023”
Will this be the most mysterious mobile of this 2022?
The fact that the CEO of Nothing is neither more nor less than Carl Pei, one of the founders of OnePlus, is already reason enough to have high expectations regarding his first mobile. And it is that the already confirmed Nothing Phone (1)) arouses special interest for all the atmosphere that the London firm is generating less than a month before the presentation.
The design of Nothing’s first smartphone It is probably one of the sections that hides the most mystery. Being confirmed its transparent aesthetics, will DALL-E Mini be right with its design?
“Nothing Phone Design”
Given the results of the previous section, those of the transparent Nothing Phone design (1) They can even be considered good. However, they look too unrealistic. It seems that the artificial intelligence of DALL-E Mini is inspired by existing mobiles from Samsung and Apple, based on the molds shown. Although, as was largely the case with the results of the previous requests, they once again give the sensation of being a Dalí painting.
The first Apple folding exists… Or not
Much has happened since the first rumors of seeing a folding iPhone began. It was even said that it would arrive in 2023, although today it seems little true. However, whether or not it is in Apple’s plans, we delve back into the DALL-E Mini to visualize what the first folding iPhone would look like.
“foldable iPhone”
Having seen what we have seen, we have to say that within what is possible are the more “realistic” results. Let’s not fool ourselves, they are still quite “Dalinian”, but at least they show a clear form of the style of other foldables such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3. In addition, it seems that artificial intelligence knows Apple well, since it has not been cut off in showing the much defenestrated notch.
The first Meta mobile in the hands of Mark Zuckerberg (or something like that)
Facebook… Sorry, Meta, you’ve been surrounded by numerous rumors about a possible cell phone. It has never materialized and we don’t even know if it has been in their plans to launch it, but dreaming, we have asked the artificial intelligence system to show us the Mark Zuckerberg himself presenting it.
“Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the Meta smartphone”
The result, as you can see, is strange to say the least. We don’t know if it really is Mark Zuckerberg or a man with a poorly made mask of his face. We can’t really appreciate the phone either, so it’s still up to everyone’s imagination Target Phone (or whatever the hell you could call a smartphone from this company).
We believe (and pray) that the future of smartphones looks as little as possible to that shown by this artificial intelligence.
Returning to the common thread with which we started this post, nobody knows what the smartphone of the future will be like, whatever the brand. Even in times like the present, when it seems that we have reached the climax of mobile telephony, we are sure that there is room for innovation and surprises. We just hope they are better than what the DALL-E Mini shows us.
