A Plague Tale Requiem: release date announced

A Plague Tale Requiem: release date announced

Focus Home Interactive and Asobo Studio had promised it: on June 23, 2022 they would have announced the release date of A Plague Tale Requiem. Obviously, a promise kept. In fact, today, the title starring Amicia and Hugo, a direct sequel to Innocence, got the long awaited release date.

Many were convinced they would see this announcement during the Summer Game Fest 2022 and more precisely during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase. It was not so: the players got the release date of A Plague Tale Requiem only today, during a special live which took place at 18:00.

During the event, an extended gameplay video was also shown, showing what will presumably be the first minutes of the game, then alternating with subsequent sequences of gameplay, where Amicia and Hugo arrive in the city and explore new places that seem to differ greatly from the France, setting of the first chapter. A video that we invite you to watch only if you are not afraid of the risk of spoilers. In case you want to get completely unaware of the game, our advice is obviously not to view anything. If, on the other hand, you want to feast your eyes and find out more about this new adventure, you can find the video (in 4K) immediately below, around 7:00 am of the live streaming.

Let’s now move on to the release date. A Plague Tale: Requiem will be available starting in October 18, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and of course PC. The game will also be included on Xbox Game Pass from day one, reflecting an important partnership between Focus Home Interactive and Microsoft. In addition to the basic edition of the game, a Collector’s Edition will also be available, of which we have reported the details at this address. Keep following Tom’s Hardware for all the news and announcements in the pipeline from the world of video games.
