- Apparently the Asus ROG Phone 6 has appeared on the website of the Telecom Authority of China.
- The images show a white device while the dimensions are similar to last year’s phone.
The Asus ROG phone line arguably leads the charge for premium gaming phones, packing a ton of horsepower, shoulder keys on the sides of the device, and an array of accessories. We already know that the ROG Phone 6 is near, and now we’ve got a lot of information and some images ahead of its release.
China’s TENAA regulatory body has listed the ROG Phone 6 on its website (h/t: playful droid) regulatory filing lays out the specs and has also been updated with some images showing a Tencent-branded variant. See a composite of these images below.
Those expecting a major departure from the previous model in terms of design may be disappointed though the white color looks very clean here. There also seems to be an RGB strip or secondary display at the back. Otherwise, the phone weighs 239 grams and measures 172.83 x 77.25 x 10.39mm, giving us a similar but slightly thicker design to the ROG Phone 5.
As for the Asus ROG Phone 6 specs, the TENAA listing points to a 6.78-inch OLED screen, 3.2GHz octa-core chipset (Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1), 18GB RAM, 512GB fixed storage, 50MP main rear. camera and 13MP secondary rear camera. We could make a third rear lens but no word on what Asus is using here. It is also worth noting that the specifications like RAM and storage may differ especially when the ROG Phone 5 was available with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
What do you think about the ROG Phone 6 design?

The filing mentions a 2,925mAh battery, though we’re guessing Asus is using dual batteries for a total minimum capacity of 5,850mAh (marketed as 6,000mAh). Other notable specs include a 3.5mm port and an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is also a mention of 5x optical zoom, but TENAA has previously made mistakes in its specific listing.
We won’t have to wait too long to see the ROG Phone 6 officially, as Asus has announced a July 5 launch event. The company has already confirmed some details, such as the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC and 165Hz refresh rate.
