Chris Evans has finally upgraded from the iPhone 6s he’s had from 2015 and is hoping to no longer have grainy photos.

The Captain America actor, 41, took to Instagram and Twitter to document the historic moment as he transferred all his data to his new phone.

He told his followers: ‘RIP iPhone 6s. We had a good run. I will miss your home button.

‘I won’t miss the fight night of trying to charge you. Or your grainy photos. Or your suddenly dropping from 100% battery to 15%, completely depleted in minutes.’

Chris joked: ‘It was a wild ride. take it easy girl. #tilthewheelsfalloff’.

Fans, of course, were horrified to learn that the Marvel star was still using the same phone from 2015, joking that he was frozen in ice like his character had for 70 years.

Kate Beckinsale commented: ‘Not the grainy pics’, while Yvette Nicole Brown added: ‘Please tell me you still didn’t have 6?! How did this happen to you?!’

Octavia Spencer admitted she was in the same boat, explaining: ‘OMG! I just gave up my home button last week. Making the transition to 13 is easier than I thought. So…. #IFeelYouBuddy.’

Fans added: ‘Took the role of Captain America a little too serious with the ancient phone’ and ‘It’s the end of an era’. You did a great job, darling.

Others wrote: ‘Rip Chris Evans’ iPhone 6S, you will always be iconic’ and ‘How are you still on iPhone 6S?!?!?’

Some even questioned how Chris had photographed his old and new phones as both were in the picture he had posted showing the data transfer.

It appears that Chris has chosen an iPhone 13 for his upgrade, which he will still be using in 2029 if his past habits are anything to go by…
