Scalar is fully compatible with GarageBand and Audio Mixer so you can compose music in an environment that suits you. Scalar 2 makes finding chords and progressions intuitive and fun! It’s a comprehensive yet easy-to-use toolbox that will help anyone create better music.

Scalar 2 for iPad/AUv3 is available as a free download on the App Store, with all the sound and most features unlocked. In-app purchase ($18.99 USD) unlocks all features. Scalar 2 for iPad works perfectly with the Scalar 2 plugin available exclusively at Plugin Boutique.

Additionally, Scalar 2 for Windows and Mac has been updated to version 2.6, which includes the following changes:

  • Add new trap bass sound.
  • Add new trap and punk chord sets.
  • Add new multi-stroke strum patterns.
  • Add more guitar chord chart positions.
  • Add a “Minimum Speed” option to the Suggestion Chord popup.
  • Fix problem detecting wrong number of chords/notes.
  • The daw-sync setting now synchronizes properly with other instances.
  • The Show Bass/Inversion setting now updates chord names properly.
  • Fix an issue when pulling and releasing the cord on you.
  • Prevent the welcome screen from reappearing when you change certain settings.
  • Add an option to remove duplicate cords in the Detect panel.
  • Improved handling of unison chords and single notes in the detect panel.
  • Add placeholders for unknown chord chart positions.
  • Prevent the save function from overriding files.

Scalar 2.6 for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX) costs $59 USD. This update is free for Sklar 2 users.
