The Spotify app is now much more useful: it will notify you of the concerts of your favorite artists near you

Spotify launches a new feature: you can see when and where the next concerts of your favorite artists are held.

Now that the season of festivals and concerts is approaching, Spotify wants to make your life easier when it comes to discovering when and where your favorite artists play directly from your mobile app.

The company has announced an update for its application that is already on its way to the main mobile platforms, with which the option to consult a feed with concerts and festivals where our favorite artists participate.

Spotify now allows you to see the concerts of your favorite artists near where you are.

Spotify tells that the new feed of live events is available to all users of the platform, and allows discover concerts and festivals near our location. The feed it is personalized, so that those concerts where the artists that we listen to the most participate will appear. Also, there is the possibility of Buy tickets through partner merchants such as TicketMaster or Eventbrite.

The live event feed replaces the previously available “Concert Hub” on Spotify. To access it, you just have to search “Live Events” using the app’s search engine, to access a new panel where you can select our preferred location and see the concerts that are going to be held soon. It is also possible set up push or email notifications of those live performances of artists we like.

The function is now available to Spotify users around the world. It is not necessary to have a subscription to Spotify Premium to access this new section within the application.
