On the occasion of celebration, as well as support for a community heavily punished by society, the company Google is integrating a new attribute to its Maps app.

This novelty is specifically related to the LGBTQ+ community. In a few words, those people who have a business in Google Maps, will be able to put a label named as “LGBTQ+”.

This label will serve to show that your bar, restaurant or any other type of business is friendly with people who are within one of the gender identities or sexual orientation to which the aforementioned acronym refers.

  • Within the section called “Commercial information”, you will have to look for the tab “Plus” and click on it.
  • Select the category you want to change and set the attribute in question as “Yes”.
  • If everything has been configured correctly, you should click on “Save”.

With nothing else to add, the new attribute should help make LGBTQ+ owned businesses more visible to people unfamiliar with the local area.
