Unity Game Services Out of Beta

Unity Gaming Services, which was first announced in October 2021 and allows users to create games more comfortably, has officially completed its beta process.

Feedback was received from a pool of over 54,000 developers in the last six months. These developers assisted the process by using Unity Game Services on more than 6,000 unique game projects that helped Unity reach the end of its beta testing period.

Because every studio, developer, and game is unique, it’s modularly designed to let you study UGS the way you want. You can integrate UGS with any engine you want like Unity, Unreal or Homebrew and use the tools you need. Spend more time on development with a single dashboard with centralized data and SDKs designed for interoperability. Thus, developers can spend more time on the gameplay experience.

  • Economy: Feature that allows developers to create a functional in-game economy while also facilitating in-app purchases.
  • Relay: A service that offers multiplayer connection support instead of a dedicated game server.
  • Lobby: Feature that allows players to create public lobbies or invite-only lobbies for friends.
  • Player Interaction: A service that provides interaction between players and content to be presented to players.
