WhatsApp: what to do with the job offer message in Peru

WhatsApp It is one of the applications where many people like to talk and make calls or video calls with all their friends. Although all kinds of messages can be exchanged, sometimes certain users tend to use it in a bad way.

In recent days a message of job offers has been circulating through WhatsApp. The text mentions that vacancies have been opened for important companies and that you have to communicate to a certain number in order to access the job; however, this is usually a scam mechanism. What should you do?

THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU RECEIVED A WORK MESSAGE ON WHATSAPP

  • The first thing is to report the user in question.
  • It usually has a number. In case you report it and block it, WhatsApp will take action to evaluate the text they sent you.
  • If the Meta app detects that it is spam, it will automatically penalize the account with a permanent suspension.
  • Also, it is better that you do not enter the link that is given to you, since it could take you to an unknown page or WhatsApp in order to collect part of your data.

  • After blocking and reporting the contact, it’s best to delete the message entirely.
  • In case you receive the same job offer through another number, follow the same steps. Remember that no one should have permission to access your phone data to carry out advertising.

WHY CAN WHATSAPP SUSPEND MY NUMBER OR ACCOUNT?

  • unofficial apps: you can say goodbye to your account if WhatsApp detects that you use modified applications, such as: “WhatsApp Plus”, “Fouad WhatsApp”, “GB WhatsApp”, etc.
  • Spread phishing and fake promotions: Normally, these types of messages are spread by cybercriminals, who try to send their WhatsApp scams in bulk. The objective is to make you believe that you have won a prize or cash, in order for you to follow a series of steps, among them, installing an application that has a dangerous malware virus that would put your personal information and even bank details at risk.
  • Rumors and extortion: If you are one of those people who only shares disinformation that produces chaos, paranoia and even threats, you can also be sanctioned not only temporarily, but forever, of course, as long as users report the message you have sent.
  • WhatsApp groups: You should never put the name “Pedophilia” on your conversation, otherwise WhatsApp will block not only you, but also the members of that group.
