How to Arrange Your Browser Tabs Vertically—And Why You Should


We all want our programs to be set up exactly the way we want them to, and browsers are no exception. You can make aesthetic changes like moving the icon of your favorite extension or changing the background of a new blank tab for easier access.

But you can also revolutionize the way you use the program by changing the way tabs are propagated during a browsing session. You can of course rearrange and pin them, but you can also move their position to the bottom of your screen instead of the top. The option has made its way into the latest version of Safari on macOS, but there are vertical tabs in other browsers as well.

While this may not sound like a big change, it can make a big difference in your browsing experience. This tool is a great and free alternative that is absolutely easy to use. It allows you to display or hide the sidebar by clicking on the Vertical Tabs icon that pops up on the Firefox toolbar after you download the extension. You can also click the cog icon above the vertical tab to access the tool’s settings, where you’ll be able to choose a theme if you’d like, among other options.

Microsoft has added vertical tabs to its Edge browser as a native feature, so you won’t need an extension if you use this app to surf the web.
