As explained in their Ko-fi profile (a website that offers a service similar to Patreon), the team behind the emulator has released Skyline Edge so that users can support its development. That is how this version will offer 2 weeks early access to updates before before they make it to the public builds.


This first level of subscription (known simply as Edge) It has a cost of €5 per month and will also grant a Discord role that provides access to channels exclusive to the emulator. A higher level of support is the Edge+ subscription of €10 per month, which in addition to the above, gives access to surveys with which the user can directly influence the development of the emulator.

Finally, the highest subscription level (Edge Pro XDR) is priced at €25 per month and will additionally add the username to the official Skyline builds. Next, we present you the first improvements that Skyline Edge subscribers will be able to enjoy:

  • New GPU code update which improves the graphical performance of games.
  • Compatibility with new titles: Pokémon Sword and Shield, SkyrimCrash Bandicoot, Rise: Race The Future, and Skul.
  • Compatibility with mobiles that use a Mali graphic (ie phones with MediaTek processor).
  • Error correction that affected the fluidity of titles that were already running the emulator, such as Super Mario Odyssey.
