That app you just downloaded might seem like a lot of fun at first — or it might just be one of the more convenient and practical apps you’re used to. But, unbeknownst to you, it can also be the source of myriad privacy and security woes. Some apps are worse for your security than others, and knowing which apps are suspicious among techies is a good way to avoid giving up data you never intend to take apart. Tech expert Vanessa Ezekiel, lead editor at Oflo, says this is one app she recommends that all iPhone users remove immediately to boost your security and privacy.
cam scanner
On its surface, Cam Scanner seemed like a surprisingly practical app—one that lets you scan documents and photos as JPEGs or PDFs. But, like many other free apps, it’s got questionable features that should make you think twice about downloading it or keeping it on your phone.
“According to cybersecurity experts, malicious malware was discovered in the Android version of the PDF Creator app,” says Ezekiel. “A third-party advertising library was responsible for the faulty code. The program was modified to remove the offending SDK and then re-released on Google Play. Still, you may decide to stay away because you need it.” Not there.”
Cam Scanner is just one app that should be on your radar if your goal is to boost your security. Ezekiel also recommends deleting another app you probably don’t need.

flashlight app
“Many app makers added shiny new features to keep users engaged and track all that data,” Ezekiel says. “Take iTorch Flashlight for iPhone, for example. Your location, personal identifiers, usage data, and diagnostic information are all tracked by the free app. It’s a lot to just be able to use the flashlight. “
Start by deleting the Cam Scanner & Flashlight app to help keep your data more private and boost your iPhone battery for better performance.
