Wand developers release statement addressing wild rumors about app’s demise

While the story of YouTube Vanced (later simply Vanced) seems like it’s mostly over after the app was shut down, the people behind the beloved mod still have more to say. There have been many rumors about the app’s closure, so on Saturday the team behind Vansed posted an article titled “Vanced Discontinuation” on the anonymous blogging platform Telegra.ph. This was asked for anyone “having trouble understanding the reason” as to why the application was closed.

The Post debunked rumors that Vendance was blocked for NFT-related reasons or outcry from a media group, and also claimed that Takedown had nothing to do with piracy allegations or ad-blocking issues. Is. Additionally, in response to rumors that the Vanded Dev was Russian, the Post stated that “[none] The team members are in Russia or Ukraine, nor do they have any affiliation with those countries.”

Wensed also denied that their app had any “illegal” features, then say the people behind the app were the “real” reason they received a cease and desist letter:

  • Vanced has been discontinued”legal reasons“As Vanded was infringing on the original YouTube app’s logo and branding because the logo resembles the original logo and was used without prior permission from Google to use the branding.

  • We were asked to remove all links to the distribution of any Wand apps we decided to discontinue.

The statement further said that the team behind Vend never Reveal the source code of the app to the public. Doing so “could create serious complications for us.” Plus, forget about downloading the app ever again. All links to the downloadable version of Vanced have been removed and the Vanced team say they can’t help but find alternative ways to grab a version of the app.

Vanded asked disappointed fans of the app not to attack anyone over its demise and alert them to any other false information. So, there you have it, for Vanced, the original – RIP. One of the reasons why so many liked Vansd is that the app had optional features that YouTube could probably use, and some of them were pretty cool check them out here.
