OPPO A16e: new simple, light, thin and well-designed mobile

A couple of months ago OPPO launched the entry-level OPPO A16e as a cheap mobile with a fine design and a reasonable price. Now almost the same terminal arrives, the OPPO A16epractically the same except that it has a Helio P22 inside, instead of a Helio G35.

The OPPO A16e is a basic mobile that joins the growing family of OPPO A16. It is a mobile with somewhat limited specifications in a design modern, light and slim. We do not know the price yet, but it should be one of the cheapest from OPPO.

OPPO’s new simple mobile

OPPO is used to launching new versions of its mobiles with an added letter and some changes in its specifications. That is precisely the case of the new OPPO A16e, which is very similar to the OPPO A16kto such an extent that it would be impossible to distinguish them when putting them one in front of the other.

This is so because the differences “go inside”, in the processor. Although both bet on MediaTek, the OPPO A16k mounted a Helio G35, while the OPPO 16e bets on a Helium P22 which is already a few years old, with versions with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage, expandable via MicroSD.

The OPPO A16e is a simple, entry-level mobile phone with a 6.52 inches diagonal and HD + resolution. The front camera is fixed with a drop-shaped notch and, as usual in the range, the screen has a somewhat pronounced chin. This front camera is 5 megapixels.

Behind, the terminal mounts a module for cameras with a modern design, despite the fact that it has a single lens, 13 megapixels and with opening f / 2.2. There is nothing else on the back, since the terminal does not have a fingerprint reader.

As for the battery, the OPPO A16e mounts one with a 4,230 mAh capacity and without fast charging, with a Micro USB connector. Unlike the OPPO A16k, there is no mention of splash resistance in this one. The terminal has a minijack and is launched with Android 11 with Color OS 11.1.

The OPPO A16e is official in India, although it does not have prices yet. Considering that the OPPO A16k is also sold in India, it is possible that the A16e version will also be launched internationally. It is available in the colors white, blue and blackbut we still don’t know their prices.
