Spider-Man 2 is to offer photorealistic graphics. The actor is too old to appear in the game

Spider-Man 2 will be Insomniac Games’ next production exclusively for PlayStation 5, and at the same time the first installment of the Spider-Man series to be released only on PS5. The creators apparently want to turn up the setting and one of the actors mentioned photorealism.

Sony has still not confirmed its full plans for 2023, and currently the only title announced for the next 12 months from PlayStation Studios is Spider-Man 2. Insomniac Games, which has released Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, is responsible for the adventure.

Developers have not presented new materials from the game for many months, but there are many indications that the story can offer an excellent setting – such a situation was suggested by Scott Porter, who, although he had the opportunity to play Harry Osborn in Spider-Man from 2018, however, he cannot work on a sequel.

The actor confirmed that The developers focused on realistic graphics and due to the difference in age, he cannot play the young Osborn:

“While I voiced Harry in the first Spider-Man, unfortunately I won’t be in the sequel. [Insomniac] opted for photorealism, and I guess the age difference between my age and Harry’s was too great to overcome. I was devastated, but I understand. It’s going to be an amazing game.”

Already the first Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 and then on PlayStation 5 and on PCs offered excellent graphics, and this time developers will not have to look at the previous generation to realize their vision … but can we prepare for a truly next-gen quality ?
