Microsoft pays over $100 million for Xbox Game Pass games. The employee of the company reveals the details


Microsoft threw several high-profile productions into Xbox Game Pass, and the largest corporation had to pay over $100 million. These are huge investments, which, however, make more players interested in the service.

Large productions systematically debut in Xbox Game Pass, and Microsoft has no problem remunerating developers and publishers appropriately. A very interesting situation was revealed by Ben Favreau, who has been working for Microsoft for nearly 9.5 years and has been working on content for Xbox Game Pass for over 2.5 years.

“I’m responsible for all aspects of the content creation process with some of the largest publishers and independent developers in the industry.”

A representative of Microsoft confirms that he deals with contact with the largest corporations, and his task is to add over 15 games to the catalog a month … This trick is successful because players systematically receive access to an extensive catalog.

Ben Favreau also mentioned an interesting piece of information – Americans even pay over $100 million for games heading to Xbox Game Pass:

Ben Favreau has worked on the Xbox Game Pass launch including: MLB The Show ’21, MLB The Show ’22, Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, NBA 2K21, NBA 2K22, Rainbow Six Siege, Back 4 Blood, Mortal Kombat 11, Stalker 2, Hades, Among Us, Guardians of the Galaxy, High on Life, Tunic and EA Play.

We don’t know which games cost over $100 million, but we can suspect that Guardians of the Galaxy, Back 4 Blood or, of course, Grand Theft Auto 5 required large budgets.
