Pepephone launches a fixed-only rate: prices and conditions of the Fixed Telephone a la Pepe

Although the fixed telephone has been losing weight in some operators to the point of dispensing with it, it is still present in the majority of Spanish homes and essential for many users. Aware of this, a few days ago, Pepephone added to its convergent rates the possibility of contracting the fixed telephony service for 3 euros more per month.

Now it has gone a step further and, as Movilonia anticipated, it has launched the “Pepe-style landline telephone”, a new fixed-only rate that provides the service through mobile network instead of the cable network, so you can take it anywhere in Spain with mobile coverage. It costs less than 13 euros per month and yes, it is compatible with the telecare service.

For fixed portability, with or without fiber

First of all, something important must be clarified: Pepephone does not provide new landline numbers, that is, this rate can only be contracted if you bring your current number to Pepephone. That means that the “fixed telephone to Pepe” is only valid for portability, not for new registrations.

Another important detail is that the service is provided through the mobile network instead of the cable network, so the operator has to send you a voice box to which you can connect your landline always. Please note that when using the mobile network, it is not compatible with fax and some alarm services. The advantage is that you save the line fee and you can take the voice box anywhere in Spain with mobile coverage.

Fixed Telephone Pepe

If you only contract only fixed, the monthly fee is 12.90 euros, but if you combine your fixed line with any Fibra+Mvil rate, Pepephone applies a discount of 9.90 euros per month, so that the fixed telephone service costs you 3 euros per month. Therefore, you can contract it independently or associated to a combined rate of the MVNO.

For that price, Pepephone’s fixed-only rate includes unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles national, with no setup cost or line fee (special rate calls, as usual, are billed separately).

In addition, the fixed telephone to Pepe has no commitment to stay and, something very important, it is compatible with the preventive home assistance service for the care of the elderly.
