Marvel’s Avengers will lose support on September 30. Square Enix moves away from the high-profile comic production

It’s been more or less 2.5 years since the debut of Marvel’s Avengers and what is actually the easiest thing to identify with production is hope. Before the premiere, we hoped that the title would turn out to be better than the trailers showed, then we believed that the multiplayer mode would be developed, and the following months were marked by hopes that the situation would finally change, and the developers’ assurances that they are still working hard on improving certain aspects will have an impact on the project.

This has not happened so far (although not everything was bad – we got some nice DLCs) and there are many indications that not much will change in this matter. As it turns out, the reports are confirmed, and Square Enix has announced that it is ending its support for Marvel’s Avengers. The last major update will arrive at the end of March, followed by small patches until September 30th.

From October this year, the title will probably no longer be available in stores, and no bugs will be patched by developers – the game will take place at your own risk. It’s basically a sad end to a position that had tremendous potential to be something cool. Unfortunately – finally, we had to deal with another confirmation that the truth about a famous brand alone is not a recipe for success.
