This is KernelSU, the new way to root Android from the kernel

Since the beginning of Google’s mobile operating system, unlocking the bootloader with Magisk has been the main way to root Android. The problem with this? so what Being a very superficial method, it is easily detectableso rooted mobile users often lose the warranty of their phone and access to online services.

Well, now a new way to gain access has arrived. “Super user” rooting the Android kernel directly. That’s right, KernelSU is the new modality for root at kernel level and then we will tell you everything about this open source project.

KernelSU: the new way to root Android without being detected (not recommended at the moment)

So is KernelSU the new way to root Android from the kernel

The KernelSU development team has revealed that their tool offers access to the root android from kernel (operating system kernel) which in theory would be less detectable. In addition, it allows you to have full control of the phone’s software, thus opening up a world of possibilities for developers of custom ROMs and modified Android firmwares.

However, it should be mentioned that, for the moment, this method is in very early phases. In fact, to use KernelSU it is necessary that the Android mobile have the bootloader unlocked with a boot file “boot.img” modified installed.

Also, KernelSU is incompatible with Magisk (main method to unlock the bootloader) and also not compatible with most android mobiles. In fact, the developers have released an app that you can download to find out if your phone can be rooted with this method.

Finally, it should be mentioned that this method can be very dangerous. Modifying the kernel of an operating system can cause the mobile to be unusable forever. We will have to wait for more evidence to be provided on the stability of this method in order to take it into account as a safer option.
