Motorola Edge 30 Fusion Review in Spanish: the good and the bad of the smartphone

Currently there are many smartphones that want to compete with each other. Some incorporate better cameras, battery, design, etc. Motorola seems to not want to get into the bag and has decided to launch the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion in its eco-friendly box with smell.

Is it a good idea to invest too much in the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion? Well, here we tell you the pros and cons of the upper mid-range smartphone.

DESIGN

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is quite clean and, above all, curved on all sides. It measures 158.5 x 72 x 7.5 mm and weighs 165 grams. Also in its chassis we have a soft texture with small corrugated designs, which makes it resistant to splashes and avoids the famous fingerprints.

Already in the upper part of it we have a not too large islet, while on its sides, specifically on its aluminum bezels, we located the volume buttons, the on and off buttons, the USB Type-C port and the speakers. There is no Google Assistant button anymore.

Regarding the size of its screen, it is 6.55 inches with some curvature, which gives the equipment a fairly modern aesthetic, we even find a small hole in it to store the camera for selfies.

The good thing is that Motorola wants to standardize its equipment with a single type of design in all its ranges and it demonstrates it with the Edge 30 Fusion.

SCREEN

What is the difference with other teams? In addition to being 6.55 inches, the company adds something that other mobiles do not have and that is the 144 Hz refresh rate, which allows the movement of objects, animations, to be much faster than other smartphones.

Likewise, the brand adds a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels so that the display of your content can sometimes even reach the reproduction of 60 frames per second and, in certain cases, 4K.

In it apart from the billo, the device comes out well because the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion brings up to 1100 nitsso, on a sunny day, it will prevent your notifications or what you want to see on your smartphone from getting lost.

Something that I did not like at times is its curvature, because when you want to record or take photos, or simply use another application, those phantom touches used to appear at its edges, thus preventing you from performing a certain action.

If you are watching your series on Netflix or playing something, the tones are not usually creaky or too false at all, on the contrary, the terminal enjoys naturalness on its P-OLED display and that famous HDR10 + is added

PROCESSOR AND PERFORMANCE

Motorola has equipped the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion with Snapdragon 888+, so it does it quite fast and runs heavy apps without much blinking. I even adds 256 GB of internal storage that plays with the 12 GB of RAMwhich can be extended up to 3 GB more, thus allowing you to have a repowered device in 15 GB.

Best of all, the terminal is fully updated and will soon receive Android 13. Motorola does not add too many details to Android 12 so it comes pretty clean.

What about the games? Well, when you open Genshin Impact, the result is more than enough because you can play in high quality without problems and at 60 frames per second.. The colors and the details in the powers of the characters are well implemented and there is no pixelization involved. Likewise, there is no type of dizziness when turning or having to make a distant impact.

In the Fortnite theme, there were no performance issues and it was usable at 60 frames per second. It stands out the speed and the way in which the graphics are reproduced thanks to the processor that falls to his hair. But yes, in certain cases you had to download the APK since it appears as an unsupported smartphone, which is rare.

CAMERAS

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion simply surprises in the photographic section. I quite liked the development of their cameras. The terminal has a 50-megapixel main sensor, followed by 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. While in the front camera we have 32 megapixels.

The colors come out quite natural, although it does not require HDR. If you turn it on, your photo may tend to be much more colorful, depending on the screen you view it on, but the results are decent.

What you do have to be a little careful about is when you are against the light, so certain details are usually lost if you hit the sun and that would cause details, many of them in shadow, to be lost.

But in general, in good lighting conditions, the whites are usually quite good and the blacks enjoy texture and level of detail. There is no loss of quality, although images with 50 megapixels can weigh more than they should.

In the event that you start using the ultra wide angle, you will notice a difference in tones. These are usually a bit cooler than normal and as a consequence, the textures are often lost.

This can be used when you want to take a group shot or a vacation landscape shot, but it’s always best to use the standard lens for best results and with not-so-exaggerated brightness.

The depth sensor or depth lens acts quite quickly against the movement of the camera. Although sometimes you have to press the screen once in a while to improve the focus on things and thus blur the background.

In the same way the front lens, for selfies. I feel that sometimes the photos tend to come out a bit exaggerated in makeup, like pastels, without effect or filter layer on. I found it curious, but it is a detail of this Motorola Edge 30 Fusion.

BATTERY

The terminal is usually somewhat short on battery, especially if you use the screen with 144 Hz active. This is 4400 mAh with 68 W. You can reach 100% in less than 25 minutes, while 50% in 10 minutesthat as long as you use the original materials and that come in the box, otherwise you will not have the same effect.

Already in the download, if you use 144 Hz, it can have a life of up to 12 to 15 hours on average, but if you are a demanding user, the battery can last between 7 to 8 hours approximately, whether playing or simply recording. your TikToks.

CONCLUSIONS

  • The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is a cell phone with a fairly minimalist design, without many details in its bezels, much less overloaded with buttons.
  • It has a fairly large screen making it easy to play content in 4K and up to 60 frames per second.
  • Its processor, although it gives a slight salt, is quite cheap and fast, without damaging part of Android 12 that is almost in its purest form.
  • The bad thing and what has caused us problems are the famous ghost touches when you use the terminal vertically or with one hand, this is due to its curved screen.
  • The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is sold in Peru at 2499 soles from the Motorola page
