A very compact design with option to leather texture
Continuing with the philosophy of the Reno series, the brand has once again opted for two new colors based on fiberglass and leather, inspired by luxury leather goods, with a textured pattern that simulates the effect of leather seams. Regarding the dimensions of the device, they vary according to version, with a thickness of only 7.8 millimeters and a weight of 180 grams in the Midnight Black version and 7.85 millimeters and 183 grams in the Sunset Orange version. On the other hand, the OPPO Orbit Light notification system offers up to five different notification settings that can be customized with different colors, simulating the operation of a conventional LED.
As for the screen, the OPPO Reno 8T is equipped with a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel, Full HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. The multimedia proposal is completed with a double speaker configuration with stereo sound, with a ultra volume mode integrated that increases the maximum volume by an additional 40%.
MediaTek processor and 4-year fluency warranty
If we move to the interior of the device, the firm has opted this time for a 8-core MediaTek Helio G99 processor, with a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz and 8 GB of RAM, which can be expanded up to 16 GB through virtual memory technology. It is available in a single version with 128 GB of storage and is compatible with micro SD cards of up to, eye, 2 TB.
In addition to coming standard with Android 13 under ColorOS 13, the company’s laboratories have specifically tested the OPPO Reno 8T for the 48-month fluency certificate, in order to guarantee that it maintains a high degree of fluidity and function even after 4 years of use. This new version adds interesting features such as Screen Translate, integrated with Google Lens, to translate the content of an entire screen with a single click from the sidebar menu, instead of having to manually switch between different applications. Auto Pixelate, which can automatically recognize and pixelate sensitive information in screenshots of chat messages with a single click. And Private Safe has been refined to reduce the risk of losing or disclosing password-protected data.
Otherwise, It has a 5,000 mAh battery and a fast charge of 33 W. According to data from the brand, it can be charged to 100% in 67 minutes and offers 2 hours of conversation with a 5-minute charge. It also has NFC for mobile payments, Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-band WiFi, although the company has not specified the version. Of course, it is not compatible with 5G networks, something that cannot be explained if we take into account that the rest of the models in the range are.
100 megapixels and a microscope camera with up to 40 magnification
The raison d’tre of the new OPPO Reno 8T is its 100-megapixel main camera. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not given many details about its possibilities; neither of its technical specifications, so we will have to wait to test the device in hand. What we do know is that it comes with two 2-megapixel cameras, one for Portrait mode and the other with microscope lens that offers up to 20 magnifications if we use optics and 40 if we apply digital zoom.
Finally, the front camera has a 32 megapixel resolution and has facial unlockinga method that is added to the fingerprint sensor that we find under the screen, being an AMOLED panel.
