The Last of Us 3 is to be in production. The game is being developed for PS5 and “with PS6 in mind”

The subject of a potential sequel to The Last of Us returns. The Leak editors have received further details about Sony’s internal activities, and according to Staffan Ulmert – The Last of Us Part III is being developed at Naughty Dog.

In recent days, Neil Druckmann has made quite surprising comments about The Last of Us Part III – the creator of the universe mentioned that the game will not be created if the team does not create the right story.

However, The Leak received other information – according to the source, work on The Last of Us Part III was underway in November last year at Naughty Dog, and the final budget and scope of production was supposed to depend on the success of “The Last of Us” from HBO. As you know, the series is hugely popular.

A whistleblower who previously mentioned the PS5 Slim informed The Leak about the plans of the Japanese corporation – The Last of Us Part III is to be in production:

“Within Sony, the title is marked ‘in development’ and Naughty Dog is the developer and the game is categorized as a PlayStation 5 release with ‘PlayStation 6 in mind’.”

The Leak explains that although The Last of Us Part III, according to the information provided, is to be prepared with PlayStation 5 in mind, the long time it takes to create a game from the AAA segment (at least 4 years) may make it eventually, the title will land on the market at the end of the current generation, and an enhanced version of the adventure will be released on PS6.
