Hello Welt Systems, a German company that specializes in developing open-source technology, recently launched a new addition to its Vola phone line – the Vola Phone X23. The smartphone is the latest smartphone model not to use the Google ecosystem, and features an open-source operating system that gives users more control over their devices.

Customers can choose from two variants of the Volla Phone X23 – one that comes with Volla OS and the other with Ubuntu Touch. The device is available for pre-order for a price of 522 euros (about $558). Deliveries are scheduled to begin in May 2023. The Voila OS version of the phone is compatible with most Android apps, while Ubuntu Touch is not.
