Believe it or not, this has happened on Google Maps: it looks like something out of a movie


Google Maps is one of the best options that we have available for free to travel around the world without leaving home, both from a bird’s eye view and from street level, so we can find images unusual when observing them from a certain height or showing an error that draws special attention when merging the images.

Terrifying images from Google Maps

One of the most common errors that we always find in Google Maps is related to the merging of images to offer 360-degree views. In the Singapore art museum, we have a clear example.

A few years ago, one of the water canals in Iraq’s Sadr City showed a red color blood in its waters. The reason for this color is due to the presence of several slaughterhouses close to that location that poured blood into this channel.

This bird’s-eye view of the Beatrixpark pier in the Netherlands went viral at the time, since, as can be seen in the image, it seems that someone is dragging a body into the water, leaving behind a Blood trail. Apparently, the result that the person seen was a dog that liked to play with the water and the wet water left that contrast on the surface of the pier.

One of the most disturbing images that were available on Google Maps until a few days ago, is that it shows us how the Google Maps vehicle runs over a motorist while driving on the roads of Senegal. In the Arizona desert there is a gigantic crater 1,200 meters in diameter and 170 meters deep that can be seen from a great height and has become a tourist attraction in the area.

The specular image that we show you below is in the Netherlands. This is Fort Bourtange, a construction dating from 1593 and located in the town of Groningen. It is currently a museum.
