League of Legends 32 Bit Support Ends

Riot Games is ending support for League of Legends 32-bit operating systems as of April 4, 2023. Starting this date, players will need to have a 64-bit Windows operating system to play League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.

Riot Games states that currently 99.9% of players are using a 64-bit operating system. In this case, you will not need to do anything if you are already using a 64-bit operating system. However, players playing on a 32-bit operating system, with patch 13.7 When they log into the client together, they will see the message that the game is no longer supported for 32-bit systems.

The company says that this decision will contribute to the future investments of League of Legends. The official statement on the matter is as follows:

Our support for 32-bit Windows operating systems ends on April 4, 2023. Starting this date, players will need to have a 64-bit Windows operating system to play League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. For details please our minimum system requirements look at.

“What does it mean?” Do I need to do anything?

99.9% of gamers already have 64-bit OS and hardware. If you are one of these players, you will not realize that our 32-bit support has ended and you will not need to take any action. However, players playing on 32-bit OS will see a message when they log into the client as of 13.7 that the client may not work for them in the future. We will try to make this information available to interested players for a certain period of time, both through the patch notes and the launcher, before we completely end our support for 32-bit operating systems. However, in the future, these players will need to have 64-bit compatible hardware and operating system to continue playing LoL.

Why is the LoL team doing this?

As with other decisions we’ve made in the past (eg, ending support for XP and Vista), continuing to release new content while still supporting legacy hardware requires a significant investment in both development and testing. By removing some of these obstacles, we will be able to continue to push new boundaries and provide fun experiences for players. At this time, we cannot share exact information on which areas we will directly improve through this transition, but you can be sure that it will contribute to our continued investments in the future of League.
