For the first time in more than a year, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 is now hovering close to the MSRP at many retailers, thanks to a sharp drop in graphics card prices.
You can now get the EVGA XC Gaming variant in the US for $389.99 – just $50 more than the original MSRP for the card. Those living in the UK can also get an Inno Twin LHR version for £379.99, which is only £79 more than the official recommended price.
Even though both of these listings are still above MSRP, they collectively represent what has been the best opportunity over the past two years to get a decent 1080p card without breaking the bank. We’re also arguably in the zone of being able to build ourselves a decent budget gaming PC—one that will easily max out games at 1080p for around the $800 to $900 mark, depending on your specs.
Of course, if you already have a good setup and want to upgrade to a graphics card with an RTX 2060 or equivalent power, these listings aren’t attractive enough. Many gamers are holding off on the upgrade right now, and it’s not a mindless policy. Later this year, we should see the release of the next generation of RTX 4000 series cards from Nvidia and Intel’s highly anticipated Arc series. Right now, details are thin on the ground (like a release date), but as more news breaks, we’ll have the latest on TechRadar.

Even though we think these RTX 3060 listings are arguably the best graphics card deals available this week, they aren’t the only listings available. Just last day, Nvidia cryptically tweeted the announcement of a new restocked and reloaded page on its website. At the time of writing, all current stocks around MSRP are in the UK, but the tweet mentions that more stocks will be available soon, which gives us hope for a US listing.
