Bethesda Launcher, here is the closing date of the service

In February, Bethesda announced its intention to permanently terminate the Bethesda Launcher. Born as an alternative for some of the most popular services, the launcher has never been particularly popular with gamers. Precisely for this reason, the developers have decided to abandon the project and bring their games back to Steam. As we have already reported in this article, the migration operations for the libraries and wallets of the players will start starting from April 27, 2022.

Right on the date of April 27, in fact, players will receive detailed instructions on what to do to transfer their games from Bethesda Launcher to Steam. Some games will also be able to automatically transfer saves. Others, however, will require you to manually copy them to the dedicated folder. The same Bethesda also announces that among the various games on its launcher, only Wolfenstein: Youngblood does not currently provide the possibility of transferring save data. This does not exclude that the developer finds a solution to allow players to recover their games.

The Bethesda Launcher will remain up and running untilMay 11th 2022. However, even if you fail to transfer your games to Steam, it will still be possible to do so later. The developer also urges players not to lose their login details. Accounts Bethesda.net, in fact, they will continue to work and will be required to access some games. Even if you will initiate them through Steamin fact, some titles will require access to your accounts Bethesda.

After the success of Epic Games, GOG And Steam, many developers have in fact tried to create their own platforms to engage players. Some like Rockstar And Ubisoft they managed to find a formula to engage the players. However, enthusiasts continue to prefer the three major platforms and hope to be able to see all of their titles grouped into a single library so as not to access different services to play some titles.
