Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Will Reveal Some Skin, Surprisingly

Monolith Soft’s JRPG Series xenoblade chronicles The skin has been known to reveal a little bit from time to time, and it looks like the third entry will be no different. According to a recent ESRB rating, which was discovered earlier this week, players will need to be ready for an adventure involving blood and violence, swearing and suggestive themes.

While this kind of content in first-party Nintendo releases may be surprising to some, it’s not necessarily the first time we’ve seen such ratings from the ESRB when it comes to Xenoblade releases. The original game had “partial nudity” and below is part of it xenoblade chronicles 2 Ratings, including similar but different “indicative topics” and language:



“The game contains some suggestive content: female characters/creatures dressed in clothing that exposes a great deal of cleavage; camera pans and dull shots on the buttocks and/or breasts; dialogue that says, “You stare at me.” Were… Perverted!” During the game, characters make reference to alcohol in dialogue (for example, “Wine! I want wine,” “Cheers Love! Bring me a beer.”), and patrons play in the background. Can be seen drinking alcohol; a character is depicted with a cigar in his mouth. The words “sh*t” and “a*shol” are heard in the game.

It’s worth noting that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is rated ‘T for Teen’ – making it the same rating as the previous two entries on the Nintendo Switch. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has also been rated ‘M for Mature’ in Australia. You can read about it in our previous post.

In addition to this ESRB classification, the game’s release date was pushed forward this week, jumping from September 2022 to July 29.
