WhatsApp: how to make a backup on Android



There is no doubt that WhatsApp is the most used messaging application on devices Android worldwide. Its constant updates make users continue to prefer it over other apps. It doesn’t matter if they change their smartphone, the application will be downloaded again.

How to backup WhatsApp to Google Drive on Android device

  • Enter WhatsApp and go to the Backup section found within the Settings
  • Swipe to see Google Drive Settings
  • In Save to Google Drive you can set the period in which each backup is made. You can choose to make backups daily, or every week or month
  • Google account indicates where the file will be stored, it is linked to your Gmail email
  • Save using allows you to set whether the copy will be made when the device is connected to Wi-Fi or not
  • Include videos will appear disabled, you can activate the switch so that media files are also stored
