Some Mac Studio users complain of a high-pitched hum

It is not acceptable that you spend a pasture in a whole MacStudio, and when you give it a little cane it makes you buzz like a PlayStation. That is what is happening to some users (not all, luckily) of the new and powerful Apple computer.

In the usual social networks and technology forums, several users of the new Mac Studio are chirping because they say they hear a very high pitched buzz quite annoying coming from the back of the computer. Wow fabric.

A few weeks ago Apple put its new and powerful Mac Studio on the market, and there are already some complaints from its users. They say they have noticed that their machines are making a high-pitched sound that seems to be coming from the internal fan.

Most of the complaints come from owners of the cheaper Mac Studio with processor M1Max instead of the Ultra version. It is very reasonable, since the two models have different thermal settings.

Users who have complained have described the noise as a high frequency sound which is hard to ignore, and adds to the standard more serious fan noise. It appears after a week or two of being released.

The M1 Max and the M1 Ultra have different heat sinks, which explains why one machine is experiencing problems while the other is not. The M1 Ultra is equipped with a much larger copper heatsink, which probably prevents the fan from turning on at the same frequency, and there also seems to be an issue with the M1 Max’s configuration that causes the annoying buzzing sound.

You must also indicate that not all units The M1 Max Mac Studio seem to be experiencing this issue, as some users have reported no unusual noise other than the usual humming of a fan.

Users who have purchased a Mac Studio that are within their two-week return period can exchange their unit for another, but there are reports of replacement machines still having the same problem. Until Apple manifests itself, we don’t know if it’s a hardware problem, or has a solution through a software adjustment. We’ll see then.
