The card turned: Android will get the feature that Apple has had for 2 years

Google has released the first beta of the upcoming generation of the Android operating system – Android 13. As usual, the update brings with it some great innovations that focus on maximizing the user experience. One of them also focuses on audio. This is a feature that competing Apple smartphones have had for two years.

The release of the new version of Android, although only in beta testing, mobilizes technology do-it-yourselfers and developers to fully explore it. It was no different with the first beta version of Android 13. And something interesting was really revealed. Looks like Google’s operating system is finally coming surround sound support.

He alerted the arrival of the function Mishaal Rahman via Twitter, which noticed her in the “soundfx” folder environment. However, it still seems inactive, which means that Google is still going to fine-tune it in the future, informs AdimorahBlog.

Even better listening

The surround sound function in Android is likely to work similarly (or in the same way) as iPhones. As the Czech server writes We are mobilizing, iOS devices use Dolby Atmos technology, which in combination with sensors in supported AirPods headphones delivers an immersive 360-degree sound experience. Thanks to this function, the sound quality is taken to a higher level, not only when listening to music, but also when watching movies or playing games, for example.

When will it be put into operation? Hard to say yet, but no doubt this will happen with the release of one of the future beta versions of Android 13, at the latest with the arrival of a stable version. Also, there is no answer yet as to whether the feature will be available for all devices with the latest operating system or only for Pixel smartphones.
