NVIDIA Appeals To AMD Using Driver Superiority

Since the introduction of the Game Ready program, NVIDIA has offered 150 drivers that support more than 400 games. Sean Pellets, Senior Product Manager, says that with the company only releasing 20 drivers in 2021 that support 75 games, NVIDIA isn’t slowing down. The GPU giant has now released a video explaining the Game Ready driver development process and article published.

One of the key points in the video is the testing and validation phase. NVIDIA runs 1,000 tests a day and has 1.8 million hours of testing in 2021. The green team also has a large network of desktop and mobile systems that run automated tests with over 4500 GPU, CPU, RAM and OS configurations.

NVIDIA emphasizes that every driver passes Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) testing. In addition, to get this certificate, each driver must pass 1300 rigorous tests.

We give NVIDIA credit in this regard, because they are really superior to AMD on the driver side. We often see AMD drivers come out in beta, and WHQL signed drivers are rarely available. NVIDIA exploits this competitor’s weakness, claiming to be the only GPU vendor to approve each driver.

Frankly, AMD has made a lot of progress in software lately, but there is still a long way to go. The company also recently announced that it is working on a new version of its FSR technology.

Intel had released Arc Control, a utility for game optimization, driver updates, and more. We can compare this software to GeForce Experience on the NVIDIA side. On the other hand, we have already talked many times about the future of XeSS superscaling technology, which can rival DLSS and FSR.

In the software space, the battle between NVIDIA, AMD and Intel has only just begun to heat up. The video released by the green team proves this.
