Global variants of Vivo X80 and X80 Pro got many certifications

Vivo X80 series was introduced in the Chinese market. However, the company will also be knocking in the global markets very soon. The devices falling under the series namely Vivo X80 and X80 Pro are smartphones. The company did not launch Vivo X80 Pro+ this time, but both the X80 and X80 Pro are flagship levers. The new lineup will hit the global markets on May 8, possibly including Malaysia. On the other hand, the Indian market will get it by May 18. Some enthusiasts believe that Vivo will take advantage of this opportunity to launch the Vivo X80 Pro Plus at the event. However, there is hardly any confirmation about this.

The Vivo X80 Pro device has now been spotted on the FCC website ahead of its May 8 launch. Passed by the FCC database with the phone model number V2145. Apart from the model number, the dual SIM support of the device has also been confirmed through the listing. However, the website does not disclose any other information. Apart from this, Vivo X80 has received NBTC certification with model number V2144. Both the devices have 5G network, both the phones are listed with 5G network support.

Vivo X80 Pro Specifications and Features

To recall, the Vivo X80 Pro flaunts a 6.78-inch E5 2K AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is available with two processing units in China. There is a variant with the Dimensity 9000 SoC along with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The phone packs up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

Vivo X80 Pro sports a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, 48 MP ultrawide lens, 12 MP portrait camera and 8 MP telephoto lens. The device has a 32MP selfie camera. The phone draws its powers from a 4,700mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The phone will run Android 12-based FuntouchOS 12 in global markets. Last, but not least, the phone measures 9.1mm in thickness and weighs 215 grams.

For now, it is unclear whether the global version will have both the Dimensity 9000 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC options. It’s not very common, after all, it can be confusing and hard to control. Hence, we can only see the global variant coming with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. One possibility is a Dimensity 9000-powered vanilla and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered.
