With the expected August announcement of Samsung’s Z Fold4 coming to a close, two new phone rumors have surfaced online. Excitingly, the first leak points to a slimmer and lighter design and the second disappoints towards the next generation Galaxy Z Fold which has the same battery capacity as its predecessor.

According to the reliable leaker, ice universe, the Z Fold4 will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Samsung Z Fold3, and will also feature a square display compared to the previous Fold smartphone. Ice Universe also notes a slightly narrower bezel. Assuming the leaks to be true, this is great news as it means the new phone will be better to handle and pocket friendly.

Samsung Z Fold 4: 4,400mAh Battery
Another new leak surrounding the Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes courtesy of GalaxyClub (via TechRadar), which has seen two phone batteries by Samsung being registered with regulators in South Korea and we think it’s the Galaxy Z Fold 4. is safe for.
The two spec batteries have a capacity of 2,002mAh and 2,268mAh, for a total of 4,270mAh. This capacity is almost identical to the 2,275mAh capacity of the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The Z Fold 3 is marketed as a 4,400mAh battery and the Z Fold 4 will follow suit – manufacturing the phone market ‘typical’ capacity, which is always larger than the rated capacity…
In fact keeping the battery capacity the same as the Z Fold3 certainly makes the smaller size more likely to leak – as Samsung won’t need to squeeze in extra capacity.
Galaxy Z Fold 4: Flagship Camera System
Earlier this month we reported on two promising leaks regarding the Samsung Z Fold 4’s camera system. The first alleges that the new flagship foldable will have a 3x telephoto camera from the Galaxy S22 and S22+ and second that it will have the 108MP camera of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
