You’ll soon be able to remove your mobile number or address from Google Search with a new tool



Google has long supported requests for remove certain content from your results such as personal images, credit card numbers, bank accounts, etc. A few days ago, in addition, he announced that it would also include telephone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses and any “additional information that may represent a risk of identity theft.”

Now, during Google I/O, the company has announced a new tool in Google Search that will help us easily control whether or not our contact information (phone, email or postal address) can be found in the results.

Make Google delete your mobile or your email

Recently, as mentioned, Google updated its privacy policies to allow us to request the removal of sensitive personally identifiable information, including contact information such as a phone number, email address or home address, from Search.

Now, they are going to facilitate that deletion of the results containing Google contact information using a new tool that will streamline the application process. That way, when you search Google and find results about you that contain your phone number, address, or email, you can quickly ask to be removed from Google Search.



With this new tool, it is possible to request removal of contact data from Search in just a few clicks and easily check the status of these removal requests. The company has confirmed that this feature will be available in the coming months. in the google app and removal requests can also be made by going to the three dots next to individual Google Search results.

However, Google warns that removing contact information from Google Search does not remove it from the webso you may also need to contact the website that hosts such data directly.
