Need for Speed Mobile: the gameplay of the new chapter ends on the net

Footage of the new mobile game focusing on the Need for Speed saga has leaked onlineshowing players roughly what the gameplay will be on smartphone or tablet devices.

The new car racing game was announced some time ago, and it was initially expected by 2021. Unfortunately EA focused its attention and that of Criterion Games on Battlefield 2042, in aid of DICE, and this temporarily stopped development of the new Need for Speed.

Now that Battlefield 2042 has been released, Criterion Games is back to work and ready to let the tires burn, the title should see the light by the end of this year, and although the details on the game are limited, some rumors say that this new game in the saga may be unique in the series.

The Need for Speed saga will therefore not only receive a new video game for next-generation consoles, but will see the arrival of another mobile game in the future.

In view of the fact that smartphones are becoming more and more performing and powerful devices, and that allow users to play their favorite games in the cloud on mobile, many developers are concentrating on releasing spin-off video games of their most important titles.

High-sounding names such as Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and others already populate the mobile scene, and even if Need for Speed is not the first time that it faces those shores, this new title could be what the previous ones have not been.

The gameplay in fact, as already mentioned, has ended up on the net and what we have seen looks quite promising. There are also statements by a Reddit user, NFSLYY who suggests that the game is developed in Unreal Engine 4, and presents a slightly revised map of that of Need for Speed Heat.

At the moment, from what can be seen from the video, the game does not have any storyline or the presence of the Policebut this could be due to the fact that it is still in a play test phase.

The details on the game are very few to date, but it is likely that it will aim to make it available by the end of this year, and that in some way it may be connected to the “big brother” that will see the light on other platforms.
