Motorola is entering the foldable phone race with its third-gen Motorola Razr 3. The smartphone priced at $1,399.99 has a bigger display and is now being compared to the Flip 4.
Apart from the bigger display, the Razr 3 also packs some design improvements, unlike its predecessor. The design improvements also include its lower bezel.
Motorola Razr 3 Improvements
According to Phone Arena, rumors doing the rounds on the internet suggested that the Motorola Razr 3 has got a lot of improvements. Some rumors have it that the Razer 3 will go for a more squared-off look in a new design by removing its clunky bottom bezel and notch. The phone could also be foldable, some rumours have added.
According to Slash Gear, the Razr 3 will come alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. Apparently, the Razr 3 2020 will look less like the Motorola Razr 5G and more like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, the publication said. Ross YoungAn insider confirmed the rumors on Twitter and said that not only the internal display but also the external display will be bigger.
Since the next Motorola Razr image has leaked, I can say that it will have a 6.7″ foldable display instead of the 6.2 on the Razr 5G. It will be made by China Star. The cover display will expand from 2.7″ to ~3″.

Ross also revealed that the Razer 5G will come with a 6.2″ main screen and 2.7″ cover display, while the Motorola Razr 2022 will get a 6.7″ internal panel and a 3″ external screen. To make a better comparison, 2021 was the year of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 because of its popularity.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 had a 6.7″ main display and a smaller 1.9″ secondary unit, while its successor, the Flip 4, is likely to have a slightly larger external screen. Motorola isn’t just upgrading its Razr 3 design with internal improvements.
The Razer 5G may come with top-of-the-line specs, while the Razer 3 comes with only mid-tier specs. As of now, there are few speculations regarding its upcoming specs.

When it comes to camera specs, although little is known at press time, PhoneArena notes that they could be better than the Razer 5G. Although the upcoming phone looks promising, the device could cost a premium.
The Razer 5G with its mid-tier specs could retail at $1,399.99, while the expectations surrounding the Razer 3 point to the price as a premium product. In comparison, Samsung’s Z Flip 3 is priced at $1,000, with its successor potentially cheaper according to rumours.

Razer 3 release date
As for the release date, Razer 3 is slated to release in China first, and it could happen in July or August.
When it comes to the international market, Phone Arena is speculated to happen at a later date than the China launch.
