The RX 6700 now also exists for AMD, here are the full specs

After being unveiled quietly by Sapphire without AMD making any mention of it, the Radeon RX 6700 is now an officially part of the RX 6000 range, placing itself between the RX 6650 XT and the RX 6700 XT. Recall that this model is equipped with 10 GB of VRAM36 CU, 80 MB of Infinity Cache and supports the 4K @ 120Hz or 8K @ 60Hz via HDMI 2.1.

Being a small model, the RX 6700 is based on a less powerful graphics chip which takes the name of “Navi 22 XL”: This has fewer CUs, lower operating frequencies, and a smaller memory bus than 160-bit, compared to the 192-bit version of the RX 6700 XT. Due to the lower specs, the TDP of the card, which attests to 175W unlike the 230W of the more powerful model. Besides HDMI 2.1, GPU outputs also include three Display Port 1.4.

AMD has also already released one updated version of the Adrenalin driver, in order to ensure the official support of the card for games. The Radeon RX 6700 is a mid-range model designed to offer more performance than the RX 6650 XT, but with lower power consumption. The only third-party manufacturer to sell this new GPU is for now Sapphire, that should be working on three models, among which there is also one PULSE variant. Sapphire’s RX 6700 is already available for purchase from 9 June at a price around 550, although AMD’s recommended price is still unknown. At the moment there are no other possible partners who intend to produce it.

Staying on the subject of Radeon, the company has also released new details on the next generation of RDNA 3 GPUs. The new cards seem to aim for energy efficiency, presenting a performance increase per Watt of more than 50% compared to current models.
