New information from analyst Ross Young indicates that the 14-inch iPad will not be one of the Pro range. Apple prepares an increase for its most affordable iPad.

The rumors do not stop about the new Apple products and now it is the turn of the iPad. According to analyst Ross Young, those from Cupertino would be thinking of launching a 14-inch iPad Pro for next year. This information was released just last week. During this day, the analyst himself has rectified the information and indicates that this product would not be one of the Pro range If not the opposite.

A plain iPad with a larger screen size

The normal thing would be to have an iPad Pro with a size larger than the current 12.9-inch one, give it a new design and even MagSafe. Those from Cupertino would have in their hands a 14.1-inch iPad with an LED panel. We know that one of the biggest differentiators between the entry-level iPad and the Pro range is its screen. The miniLED and the ProMotion screen are conditions that can barely be seen on the iPhone Pro.

The information comes from a talk with panel providers (It was shared through his super followers on Twitter). Young is sure it won’t be an iPad Pro. Why does Apple want to launch a plain iPad with a large screen size? Maybe they want to offer a better experience now that iPadOS 16 has been released with “Stage Manager” support and macOS-like multitasking in app organization. But there is a huge problem and that is that these functions are only supported by the M1 chip.

A new iPad Pro is still up for this year

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, new iPad Pro models are expected to end in 2022. What is surprising about this is that this model will incorporate the new M2 chip introduced for the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro at WWDC22.

Returning to the rumored 14-inch iPadthis increase in size could bring new users who do not need maximum performance as in the iPad Air or iPad Pro. The reality is that a redesign of the cheapest iPad in the range is not expected either. Having a bigger screen means work space and this option could be the darling of students as well as users who want a versatile device but do not want to spend a lot of money on it.
