New Vivo X series smartphones unveiled on TENAA

Vivo recently introduced the Vivo X80 series with the X80, X80 Pro and X80 Pro + smartphones. Clearly, the company has one more device to offer and it is fast approaching. We don’t know what the device will be called, but it has already surfaced on TENAA and 3C agencies in China. According to TENAA, the Vivo smartphone carries the model number Vivo V2219A and will bring a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution.

Vivo V2219A Specifications

The Vivo X series smartphone will bring a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary module. To be honest, this setup is pretty modest and a far cry from what the Vivo X80 series has to offer. We’re probably seeing a “lite” version here. The phone has an 8MP selfie camera. Under the hood, it houses an unspecified 5G chipset with a base CPU clock speed of 2.2GHz. It looks familiar from the many offerings in the market, especially with the Dimension series.

In terms of software, there aren’t too many surprises here. Apparently, the Vivo X series device will run OriginOS Ocean UI on top, which means Android 12. If it ever makes it to global markets, we’ll see the software transition to the Funtouch OS 12 offshoot. Vivo V2219A will come in three different variants with 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM. These are packed with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB of internal storage respectively. In terms of battery, the device is listed with a 2,190 mAh battery. We don’t see a bright future for any smartphone with this capability nowadays, and it is likely to be a dual cell arrangement. So, finally, the phone will come with a total capacity of around 4,400 mAh. The 3C listing also reveals that the phone supports up to 80W fast charging.

The listed dimensions of the Vivo X series are 164.17 x 75.8 x 8.59 mm. The weight of the phone is about 194 grams. For now, there’s no word on the release, but considering the leaks that have surfaced, we expect it to happen very soon.

Vivo X80 Pro Joins Android 13 Beta Program

Vivo X80 series was recently introduced in the Indian market. However, it looks like the market will soon get a new variant to enjoy. The X80 Pro is one of the few smartphones from Vivo to be a part of the Android 13 developer program, you get more details here.
