The paper house: Korea

As we told you, on June 24, La casa de papel: Corea, the long-awaited remake of Money Heist, lands on the platform. And, although from Netflix they have not confirmed what time it will be available, most big premieres appear at 09:00 in the morningso we can assume that it will be the chosen time.

We cannot confirm this fact, but everything points to the fact that in the morning we will be able to see this review of the acclaimed La casa de papel.

What do we know about The paper house: Korea

Once the recording of this Korean remake came to an end, and along with the news of its arrival, a teaser of the first trailer for Money Heist: Korea was released at the same time, in which we saw the first known face. In this way, we can know the first details of the series.

In the first images we will meet the Professor, who is in an office observing some traditional Korean masks in which there are theatrical dance performances. These masks are part of ancestral rites in South Korea, so they may be more important than it seems. Interestingly, it won’t feature Salvador Dal’s mask, so we might think they’ll use a new one as their signature look. Also, actor Park Hae-soo, who plays the character from Berlin, tells us that in his remake, they will also have their own version of Dali’s mask.

Plot

The Korean paper house

From the looks of it, Money Heist: Korea has a history that begins with the unification of North Korea and South Korea, which includes the creation of a single currency. the problem is that this unification is not beneficial for all, but only the rich gain from it, while the less wealthy classes are suffering like never before. Although the story is fictional, it seems that, like the original, it will touch on various real issues of the countries.

What characters will there be?

Netflix Premieres

It seems that Money Heast: Korea will keep a great resemblance to the original series. For example, in the role of Berlin we will have the well-known actor Park Hae-soo, from The Squid Game. As he stated at the time “As an actor and as a fan of the series, I want to thank the cast and crew of Money Heist for the great series they have created. We are looking forward to sharing the Korean version of Money Heist with you in 2022.

Also, Jun Jong-Seo as Tokyo, Jang Yoon-ju as Nairobi, Lee Hyun-woo as Rio, Lee Won-Jong as Moscow, Kim Ji-hoon as Denver, Kim Ji-hoon as Helsinki, and Lee Kyu- Ho like Oslo.

We will also see Kim Yunjin as Seon Woojin, Park Myung-hoon as Cho Youngmin, Kim Sung-o as Cha Moohyuk, and Lee Joobeen as Yun Misun. The director of this work has been Kim Hong-sun, and his screenwriter Ryu Yong-jae, who had this to say about this opportunity:

When I was offered to adapt that story, I thought it was fate. I was intrigued by the premise of the remake because it is not only about the conflict between robbers and policemen, but it adds new elements such as tension, mistrust and harmony between the two Koreas. This situation where thieves from the North and South team up and the police from both countries work together to stop them adds a Korean focus to the original plot.

Now, we just have to wait for Netflix to premiere The Paper House: Korea to see what they surprise us with, but for now the series shows ways.
