The president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy thought of teasing the fans who, in a recent interview, explained how Obi-Wan’s future depends on the reaction of the fans. These are her words: We thought of the show as something limited, but if there is a great demand from the public for new stories about Obi-Wan, we will definitely think about it.. Anything is possible, so we’ll see“.

The series is set 10 years later Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith and allowed fans to witness a new confrontation between Obi-Wan and his former student Anakin Skywalker, now transformed into Darth Vader. Playing him was once again Hayden Christensen, who admitted that he trained hard to get back into the part.

From the point of view of the timeline, therefore, there would still be room for new stories about Obi-Wan before arriving at the version of Sir Alec Guinness in Episode IV: A New Hopebut the concern of the fans is to find themselves in front of something forced.

Obi-Wan Kenobi premiered on Disney + on May 27, sparking mixed reactions among fans of the saga. There are those who found the first episodes slow and useless, criticizing various screenwriting choices and some glaring retcons, while those who appreciated the Jedi master’s path of awareness and growth, culminating in the last two episodes.

In the series there was also the live action debut of the Grand Inquisitorcharacter appeared in the animated series Star Wars Rebels and portrayed by Rupert Friend.
