Google CEO Sundar Pichai has made a significant announcement of donating 30,000 Pixel phones to refugees from Ukraine and Afghanistan who are about to land in the United States. According to reports, Pichai is making this contribution under the Welcome.US CEO Council. Pichai has shared a tweet confirming this news from his official Twitter handle.

Tools like Google Translate help refugees communicate with their new communities. Today we are donating an additional 20,000 Pixel phones to @welcomeus so that more Ukrainian and Afghan newcomers can feel at home in the US, of Sundar Pichai Tweet reads.



Furthermore, through an official blog post, the company has also revealed that Sundar Pichai has donated 30,000-pixel phones to refugees. The first 17 recipients of Google’s Ukraine aid fund were confirmed in May of this year. Recipients will be given financial support and advice from the search giant to set up their startups. The program will help the recipients connect with the right people and promote startups at an early stage.

In addition, the blog post added, “YouTube is partnering with UNHCR and Welcome.US to raise awareness of the scale of communities affected by the refugee crisis, from Syria to Venezuela to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.” to support refugee resettlement in and around the world.”
