Skip This Fourth Mic and Order a Complete BBQ Feast Online

This story is part of the Gift Guide, our collection of the best gift ideas of the year.

Some heroes wear hats, while others (I’m looking at you, pitmasters) wear aprons. Some wear neither, honestly, they just know how to get the cool stuff to the people who want it. If you’re hosting the Fourth of July this year, you can grab some of the best barbecue in the country from Goldbelly’s and time yourself to sip a bourbon drink as it slows down or watch the fireworks explode in the sky. .

Goldbelly’s is an online marketplace for gourmet-ready eats and it works with some of the best-known barbecue joints south (and north) of Mason-Dixon to send slow-cooked meat and barbecue sides to your door.

Don’t worry, I’ve tested it

Not all types of prepared meals freeze and travel well. But barbecue, which is mostly slow-cooked, is well suited for cross-country travel. This plus the amount of time it takes to make real barbecue at homeand how difficult it can bemakes it an excellent candidate for ordering online. Plus, you can score expertly prepared barbecue dinners for up to eight people for less than $100.

To make sure it all went according to plan, I ordered a feast of ribs, brisket, and brisket burnt ends from the coveted Joe’s Casey via Goldbelly. Everything froze and neatly packaged with instructions for reheating and serving. I sear the tender pork ribs on the grill with some of the added sauce included and reheat the charred ends and brisket on the same grill wrapped in foil. Everything came out impossibly tender and bursting with rich barbecue flavor. Oh, and I barely had to lift a finger.

If you’re looking for a true mic drop for this Fourth of July (but minus the labor), I can’t recommend Joe’s highly enough. But there are many easier options on Goldbelly’s and these are some of the best barbecue treats to order online this summer.

This may be the best deal out of all of Goldbelly’s barbecue offerings. Dinosaurs have made quite a name for churning out delicious ribs and pork in Upstate New York, but you can get the stuff wherever you live.

Samples include two types of meat (ribs, sausage, pork shoulder, brisket or chicken), as well as a pound of beans and peppers, and two bottles of the sauce. You can also add sausage links, homemade pickles or more sauce to your order for an additional cost.

That’s enough food for eight (maybe more) for less than $95. I’m not sure you can cook it all From scratch For that cheap.
